A great electric whisk
I've used this whisk non-stop to make a variety of different cakes and it's been great. The speed settings allow you to incorporate new ingredients and whilst it has 5 settings, I haven't had to go past 3. I wasn't sure which whisk to purchase, but I'm really pleased I bought this one as I know I don't have to buy a separate Kitchen Aid now.

Wow! I love it.
I love my new mixer! It's so easy to use and definately has made a noticiable difference to my baking - cakes and Yorkshire pudds are so much lighter. It is very powerful, looks good and is easy to clean.

The only thing I would point out is that the two beaters need to go in the correct holes, even though there is no reference to this in the instructions. If you look carefully you will see the shafts of the two beaters are slightly different. Look at the picture on the leaflet to check which beater goes in which hole. If you get them the wrong way round one of them is very difficult to remove.

My first hand mixer!
Since this is my first hand mixer I don't really have a lot of experience to compare it with others but what I did notice was after the second time I used it, one of the beaters got stuck inside. I later realised that this is not a problem as you only have to slightly turn it clockwise or anti-clockwise to get it out. No pulling!! It may damage the hand mixer.
Overall, I think I'm very satisfied with this product!

I am very pleased with these steel bowls and have used them several times since they arrived. They are great for whisking/stirring, marinading and so useful if you need extra salad bowls. The flat surface on the bowls ensures they do not fall over, so you can reach for other ingredients instead of holding on to the bowl. They are good quality and great value for what they cost.

needed some good bowls and came across these, good price. delivery quick and quality is quite good, not the cheap light stuff and it has a good flat surface which ensures it does not fall over as quickly as other designs. I have only recently got into baking and have been cajoled into producing Xmas puddings for the school fair, hence the need for a large mixing bowl. I bought these, and they're great!

The largest one easily holds enough mix for four large puddings, the smallest bowl is great for measuring ingredients into then chucking into the largest bowl. They wash easily, don't taint the food even when pudding mix is left overnight to mature, and they are nice and stable when handling large amounts of ingredients. I really like them, and will be using them very frequently. Lovely product.

This is ideal for carrying 24 cup cakes (large & small) or 1 large cake. My cupcakes didn't topple over, & there was plenty of room to accommodate the tall icing on top! Because the lid is collapsible it doesn't take up much room when stored away. It also looks great!

Ok I f wasn't broken on arrival.
It's quite expensive for what it is. It's ok, it holds the cupcakes but ours came with one of the plastic leg holder things broken. Annoyed and I was going to send it back but noticed I had to pay return postage too! I purchased this as I am a huge fan of Andrew James products and never been let down BUT I must say the design on this needs to be reviewed. The handle is weak with sharp edges, the lid does not remove very easily as you have to match it in the grooves and as someone with arthritis in my hands it's not ideal. If you try and use the handle as leverage it bends and had I not had weak hands would imagine it to snap off. I did not return the product as I can use it even if the handle was to come off but seriously think the design needs to be reviewed and it is only small compared to what it looks like on the photo. The packaging was excellent and it did arrive promptly, I don't like to leave negative comments but have to be true to the company and to potential customers who may want an honest opinion. This will never stop me from using Andrew James as my first choice when ordering in the future as they have never let me down on all my other purchases in terms of quality, style, packaging...

Bought this hand mixer as I was fed up with my ancient one not having enough power and this Andrew James 300w one certainly has plenty of power. Looking at some of the other reviews I don't know what the problem is with fitting the whisks - you put the one with the big ring in the big hole and the smaller one in the small hole - what do people want, colour coded? Well that's an idea! It's a little heavier than my old mixer which is not a big problem. Maybe I have small hands but I do find the grip slightly large and I'm having trouble using the sideways speed control, having to use my other hand to do so as it's quite a stretch for my thumb - my old mixer was slightly smaller and you pushed away with your thumb to change speeds. I've not used the dough hooks as I have a breadmaker which I use for dough. I was looking forward to the balloon whisk though for whipping cream and eggs whites. Now normally using a balloon whisk by hand the cream etc goes through the whisk and so introduing...

Excellent hand mixer
This powerful little hand-held is a very useful addition to my kitchen. Sometimes I don't have the space to get the "big" mixer out but want to knock up a quick batch of cup-cakes or something...this hand-held is just the job! I would definitely recommend it.

Smooth Operator
Purchased as a replacement for a 40+ year old Philips hand held mixer that had started to make a strange hot electrical smell after use.

I bought a cheap mixer from Tesco first, but found it had little speed control; all speeds were fast or above! After a few months I decided that had been a mistake and set off to find a proper replacement. Searching reviews, I was disappointed with a number of the competing brands; there seemed to be a history of worn plastic gears, and trust me, we wanted to replace the Tesco whizzer with one that had to last another 40 years. Googling "a mixer with metal gears" I found the Andrew James item and took a punt.

I have to say I am delighted with the mixer. It looks well made, but more importantly it gives excellent control from very slow to very fast in five steps. And it's quiet and smooth.

It ships with chrome beaters, dough hooks and a balloon whisk, all of which are easy in/out and look like they will last...

Thoroughly disappointed
I purchased these tins to enable me to make large celebration cakes. I was very keen as the product had received such good reviews on here. Having gone to use these for the first time, my first impression was that the tins looked uneven and the outside coating had some rough edges. Ignoring the appearance as I had bought these at a reduced price, I continued to make my cake. However, upon putting in the oven, the mix leaked out everywhere. Fortunately I always line my oven at the bottom, otherwise I would have had a lot of burnt cake mix stuck to the bottom. I managed to quickly transfer to one of my other tins to continue the bake (unfortunately a square one when I wanted a round one for the base). I then tested all of the other tins and found they suffered from the same issue.

I have decided to return these because unless I will only use them to make large cheesecakes, they are pretty much useless. Whether or not I received a faulty batch, who knows!

Home baking starts again

Will last a life time.
A perfect start to a collection of bakeware - recommended.

I bought these as a present for my mother and she loves them! She has been baking cakes all her life an said these are the best cake tins she has had! Cheap and affordable aswell! Since then i have bought another set for her as she cooks for a living, great buy would recommend :-) !!

oh so useful!!
having promised my brother that he could have the cake of all cakes for his birthday settled on 4 layered caramel-choc extravaganza.... but alas no space in my bijou kitchen :( thought stacking rack would be great solution and at the price and quality was an excellent idea if i do say so myself. found it sturdy and easy to use. packaged well - hardest part of whole experience was getting it out of its box! excellent present for any bakery nut and folds very neatly for storage.

Does as it says
Was very impressed at the delivery time of my order. Packaged very well although did have difficultly getting out of the boxes. I had 80 cup cakes to bake so having these stacking trays proved invaluable throughout the day. However care needs to be taken when stacking as the legs are not that strudy and I did have a near disaster with one tray collasping on top of cooling cakes!!!

I would recommend but with caution when using to stack. Although they do collaspe, the design of the legs when folded means they take up more room than I thought when storing.

Good quality
These stacking racks are very well made and stack nicely on top of one another when in use.

The only thing to point out is that when storing these racks, you use more space than is necessary as the legs don't fold down to lie completely flat.

All in all a good quality product though.
