This mixer works fine; I only use it for basic mixing for cakes, cream etc. and it certainly works for that sort of thing.
Two minus points; It has six speeds but they go from pretty fast to very very fast, so DON'T get this if you want slow speeds.
The beaters are meant to click in to the main bit but although they slot in and kind of lodge there, they don't actually click (lock) into place. They stay in while mixing though so I don't mind (so far).

Good little mixer
I am pleased with this mixer,small, lightweight and speedy too ! My last one was too heavy to hold by hand for a long time, this one would be good for elderly people with joint problems.

NO!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS!!! I know it is good value, which is why I purchased it for my daughter to make cakes. I read a review which said it caught fire, but chose to ignore it (thinking it may be a one off faulty model). Yes it was light and easy to assemble and simple to use....On first use, my daughter screamed as inside the white plastic casing, there were red flames. My husband checked to see - it was shorting (arcing). Turned off and sent back. Scary, finished cake with my Bamix! (which is not the best for cakes, but a brilliant machine). Will now search for something else, but not RUSSELL HOBBS I think. What a waste of time. Amazon needs to check it's quality..as I always shop at Amazon.
