It came on time and well packaged. It is durable and and sturdy and I can see myself using it for years to come.The individual bug shapes are deep, so make a good 'muffin' size cake and the surround of the tin is a flower shape so if you bake a cake you can use it as a template for the icing! I love to bake and so does my daughter, she loves to decorate them. I had read review's about similar products saying it was difficult to extract the cakes with out them falling them apart, (I do have other tins which need a lot of preparing prior to the mix going in to effectively resolve this issue - however I do not have this problem with this tin) so as long as you grease the tin and flour it prior to adding the cake batter they come out perfect every time.
Not what was ordered or shown on Amazon listing
The product arrived and is good quality - but it's not what was shown in the Amazon listing or what I actually bought. The cake tin I chose and ordered has 8 'bug' cake holes, but the tin I was supplied with only has 5 cake holes and is a round shape overall rather than the 'leaf' shaped depicted - so a LOT smaller and a lot more baking required to make the right number of cakes for the party. I wasn't contacted to say there would be a change to the product I'd receive from what I actually ordered and I'm not particularly impressed.
The cake tin itself is of good quality and the detail looks very nice in each 'hole' - but I just didn't get what I ordered in good faith.
In fact, this is what they sent me: Nordic Ware Pro Cast Garden Bug Cakelet Pan (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nordic-Ware-Cast-Garden-Cakelet/dp/B001QFXYHE)but I still got charged for the larger tin. Not impressed.
They've offered me a refund for the difference in price - but it means I'll...

Prepare your tin. 2. Avoid bubbles in the Cake Mix. 3. Showcase the details. 4. Bake and then cool for 10 minutes before inverting. 5. Invert, continue cooling and dust or drizzle. 6. ENJOY! Take a pastry brush and brush the pan inside with melted butter or vegetable oil. Now turn the pan upside down on some kitchen roll, to allow any excess to drain away and dust lightly with flour. Tap the pan several times with your hands to distribute the flour evenly and then turn upside down over a sink to remove excess flour.
To prevent air bubbles, slowly pour the cake mix into one corner of the pan and allow the mixture to slowly flow in and around the pan. Gently tap the filled pan on the work top a few times; this will make any air rise up and away from the outside of the cake.
Fill the pan about 3/4 full to avoid overflow. With a spatula, push the mixture to the outside of the pan, pushing up the walls to the top; this will help the cake climb up the sides, giving you greater detail on the outside of the cake.
Place the pan on the centre shelf of the oven. Bake for time indicated then cool in the tin for 10 minutes (no less, no longer). This will allow a moisture barrier to build up between the pan and the cake. With oven gloves pick up the cake pan and gently shake the pan from side to side listening for thumping. (This indicates the cake is loose and ready to invert.)
Invert the cake on to a plate or cooling rack and continue to cool. Dust with icing sugar using a sifter, drizzle your favourite sauce on top or use icing pens to highlight the detail and add decorations.
