I bought this, not to make muffins, but to make Christmas tree shaped salmon mousses. I was a little disappointed at how small the individual trees were, but they were OK for what I wanted, with the addition of some other bits and pieces. I was concerned as to how well they would turn out, and so I lined the tin with cling film, which worked fine, and covered the top with a separate sheet of film, so each could then be turned out separately, by cutting between the individual trees.
The tin came with a recipe for Christmas muffins, so I thought I would give them a whirl. Total disaster. I oiled the tin well, and made sure I did not overfill the individual shapes. Despite this, not one would turn out. Tasty they may be, but in a crumbled heap, and no way you could serve them to guests. The recipe mixture also was far too much for one tray - I ended up using the spare mix in normal muffin cases in a muffin tin. They were fine. In summary, this tin is useless for muffins, but,...
