cracking bit of kit
I have used this item 4 times now and it is an excellent piece of kitchen kit for those who like their baking. Instead of greasing the dish, I cheat even further by placing non stick plastic sheets into the base, so the brownies or whatever else I have made just slide right out with even less washing to do!
Not quite as rosy as it's painted ...
I bought this tin about a year ago as it's the size I use the most for baking. The design is superb for easy access, although if you make a variety of cakes, you may want to reconsider. Be warned, don't make flapjacks in this tin - you'll need hammer and chisel to get them out (whereas in previous tins, no problem).
Soft, spongy items seem fine but I would agree with other reviewers that it's probably best to line this tin.

I purchased this tin on a recommendation from a friend of mine who owns a cook shop, as I have a terrific recipe for brownies. Now it doesn't matter what sort of brownie recipe you have, if you have this tin the brownie will come out soft and squidgy in the middle and crispy on the tops and sides. Don't know why, but it is something technical. However, I have made loads of brownies and this tin is the best for getting them just right. I recommend you buying it, Cooksparaphernalia is very helpful, their customer service is excellent and although there was some problems in the delivery this was down to the carrier and not the company who did their best to sort the delivery out.
