I can't believe how easy it was to make a brillient butterfly cake. All the instructions come with the tin but its just as easy to make your own designs.
The only thing I will say is that it takes an awful amount of mixture to make the cake.
Too wide to cook properly and no recipe
Instructions say to use a double quantity recipe. We tried with a 4 egg (ie 8 egg) but it bubbled over the top and never cooked in the middle. We then tried a 6 egg recipe and it didn't fill the tin (which it should so you can trim off and make level). And still we had to slightly over cook at edges to get middle cooked. Its a nice shape and the pattern is easy to follow for icing up. Its not non stick so you have to spend ages greasing it up with some special stuff to stop it sticking. Makes an ok jelly pan however. We built it up in different colour layer of jelly.
